History

This Gin is inspired by a recipe created by Charles Tanqueray in 1839 while traveling through Southeast Asia in which collected the best exotic botanicals and spices. Malacca is the third smallest state in Malaysia after Perlis and Penang.

Description

Tanqueray Malacca is distilled four times in the still "Old Tom" using a secret blend of essential botanicals and spices of Tanqueray. The master distiller Tom Nichol is the only one who knows the recipe.

Tasting notes
  • At first, it shows dry aroma with juniper flavor, fresh berries, coriander seeds, tropical fruit and spicy notes.
  • On the palate appear citrus and floral notes and a huge cinnamon peninsula.

Observations

Its iconic and distinctive bottle is inspired by the three-piece shakers. In the label is printed the route map of the spices that Charles Tanqueray followed in the nineteenth century.
