History

It started with the vision of the founder, Kevan Crosthwaite, who believed that gin had become formal and dull. Kevan pulled together a team of three other like minded people from different walks of life. David Crosthwaite, his brother, Niel Everitt, and Bob Fowkes.

Together they built a company of four friends, where they could innovate and each apply their own expertise whilst ensuring a common passion: the quest for a new, unique and beautiful taste in gin, but only at the highest quality.

Description

Brockmans is an intense smooth gin that you can drink neat on ice, combined with tonics or use in cocktails.

Tasting notes

The classic rooty flavours were sought, such as orris root, licorice, angelica and cassia bark associated with dry gins. They provide the deeply resonant base notes to this gin to confer substance and gravitas. They also help tie all the flavours together. Juniper remains the key note of any gin, with its natural oils. Our Juniper is sourced in Tuscany and imparts notes of pine and lavender.

However the overriding top notes that sing out, making Brockmans so unique, are derived from an intriguing and unique bond of flavours. The Bulgarian coriander plays its part. It has an aromatic, almost gingery orange flavour, which marries beautifully with the softer, more rounded harmonies of blueberries and blackberries. This inspired combination, together with the dry, bitter sweet peel of Valencia oranges, allow the deeper tones rest longer and are useful to give Brockmans its intense smooth, wonderful taste.
