History

Flor de Caña rum, the pride of Nicaragua, was first produced in the San Antonio sugar mill in Chichigalpa, in 1890.

Description

Flor de Caña acquires its nuances through aging in American oak barrels. Unlike other rums, this aging is accurately reflected in the labels of Flor de Caña: the 12 and 18 years are real and not an aging denomination range. In fact, many industry experts refer to this rum as the "single malt" of rums.

Tasting notes
  • Reddish golden color, with aromas of nuts, cinnamon, honey and baked apple.
  • Sweet, elegant and rich finish, as its beginning.
  • Serve alone or over rock ice in rocks glass.

Observations
  • In the recent years this Premium rum has achieved 13 awards.
  • Alcohol content: 40%
