Family:Whisky
Brand:The Singleton of Dufftown

History

The Singleton of Dufftown Single Malt is produced in Dufftown, located in the Speyside region, one of the seven first distilleries in the city that gave it its name.

There the barley is a major crop. This, added to the presence of Jock's Well spring along with the peat, made The Singleton owner, Petet Mackenzie, consider it as the perfect place for the perfect distillery.

Description

The Singleton of Dufftown Malt Whisky is especially mild. This is achieved through a long fermentation and slow distillation.

Tasting notes
  • Appearance: deep gold, polished mahogany highlights.
  • Nose: toasted nut and rich fruit aromas. Adding a touch of water brings out the classic Speyside fruit-sweet aromas.
  • Body: light to medium.
  • Palate: sweetness and crunchy nit, then smooth fruity richness. Firm, with a balancing sweetness (hints of blackcurrant).
  • Finish: elegantly drying and crisp with a delayed, lingering warmth.
