Description

Preparation – production: the extra-neutral alcohol used for preparing these vodkas is distilled in continuous systems, made up of masher, rectifier, hydro-selector, demethylation and purifying columns. In this system a neutral alcohol is obtained, in which aromatic substances or flavours distinct from those of chemically pure ethanol are practically imperceptible.

The water used for the dilution of these alcohols to the bottling degree is natural, comes from the thaws, and is also purified in treatment systems, where all the salts and minerals that may distort the neutral flavour of our vodka are eliminated.

The dilution or mixture is undertaken respecting the Russian preparation methods, in which the alcohol is diluted and filtered three times to the bottling degree.  Each dilution stage is accompanied by a filtration through a vegetable carbon activated bed, where the tiny remaining impurities that may distort the neutral flavour of our product are removed and give it a light flavour without sting, despite the alcohol content.

To make the vodka-based liqueurs of the Iganoff range we use fruits, pickling plants, roots and other natural ingredients which provide the aromatic stage of these liqueurs. This aromatic stage is extracted by traditional distillation systems in swan neck stills. The sweetness of these liqueurs is provided by the concentration of sugars in the macerates and later strengthened with different types of sugars, such as saccharose, dextrose, glucose and maltose, according to the type of plants and fruits used in the liqueurs.
