History

Glen Silver’s is a range of whiskies with Scottish denomination of origin with whisky blends of 3 to 8 years and malt whiskies of 3 to 12 years. This range of products is the result of a magnificent combination of the most emphatic Scottish experience in whisky production. The selection of the raw materials, the malting process, distillation and maturation in barrels is accompanied by a centuries-old art in the preparation of this spirit.
All the wisdom and dedication of the master distillers during their preparation, together with the long periods of aging of their malts and alcohols in American oak barrels, make these products an exquisite delight for the most demanding palates.

Tasting notes
  • Color: Gold, with copper glints, allows the light to pass easily, maintaining its tonality in the bottle and the glass.
  • Aroma: Well-defined of malted barley and toasted with peat, fine smoked, fresh and well-placed notes, mixed with a very fine aroma of dry oak, turning into vanilla-like notes.
  • Flavor: Smooth on the mouth, silky, oily and unctuous with medium viscosity, dry, recalls very well the oak wood and smoke of the toasted malt.
  • Sensation on swallowing: Pleasant sensation of malt whisky, smooth, free of sting, sensation of dryness on the throat, on the retronasal passages one notes slightly smoked aromas with flavor of dry peat.

Observations
  • Preparation - production: from the fermentation of the musts extracted from the malted barley and toasted with peat, the fundamental qualities of this product gradually take shape. During the aging, the malts are aged for periods of 3 to 12 years and their alcohols are distilled twice before aging in white American oak barrels for periods of 3 to 8 years.
The mixture of the matured malts of different ages with the twice-distilled rectified alcohols is once again matured according to the requirements of the blended 3 and 8-year-old products.
  • Suggestions - how to drink it: Drink it neat or with ice.
