History

In 1777, there were in Edinburgh over 400 distilleries but there were only 8 with a license to operate. By that time, the London Gin Rosé (pink gin due to the botanicals of the time) was the only premium gin that could be found in Scotland. Scottish Masters distillers, in their frequent trips to London had realized that in England were used other botanicals. Among these botanicals: juniper berries, citrus, coriander ... Then they combined the highest quality botanicals from London with 3 secret native botanicals from Scotland. Following its origin, Edinburgh Gin is distilled five times in a traditional Scottish still called "Jenny" using 11 different botanicals (8 +3 from the area).

Observations

In 2010, the year of its launch, Edinburgh Gin has won a Gold Medal: Spirits International Prestige 2010.
