History

Ron Abuelo, the jewel of Varela Hermanos SA, it's a Panamanian rum aged in American white oak barrels. 

Ron Abuelo is made ​​from the best raw materials, with the use of the best fermentation, distillations and aging processes.

The history of Varela Hermanos SA dates back to 1908 when Don José Varela Blanco, a young Spanish immigrant, founded in Pesé the Ingenio San Isidro, first sugar mill in the newly formed Republic of Panama.

After 1936, with the distillation of sugar cane juice, Varela Hermanos SA consolidates in the international market as an exporter of fine liquors and high quality rums.


Description

Ron Abuelo Centuria has a complex aroma and flavor resulting from the mixture of the oldest selected rums aged in white oak barrels for up to 30 years, which then become part of the "Family Reserve".

The traditional art of aging "solera" keeps the character of these reserves over time and that’s why it offers limited amounts of this product.

  • Taste: Long finish, semi-sweet and woody flavor.
