Bodega Sotelo began its operations approx. 150 years ago, founded by Cipriano Vasquez as Bodega Loyola, for decades was one of the best in the Pisco region. Then, when the hard times arrived and Don Cipriano was not among the living the winery got lost for nearly 60 years. In 1972 Julio Sotelo Vasquez decides to take the family history and resurrect it. Now is his son, Julio Sotelo Alca, belonging to the 5th generation of pisqueros of the family, who has taken over the business and in a few years has achieved awards and notoriety needed to live up to its heritage, with 25 gold medals and 20 silver in various regional and national competitions. Julio is chemical engineer and oenologist, experience that has helped him to balance the technological innovation necessary in these times with respect to the traditional process his great-grandfather's developed in the farm.

  • A select blend of Quebranta, Italy, Torontel, Albilla and Muscat grapes, mixing a strong body with an intense aroma, makes this pisco ideal for cocktails and to take alone, therefore the most complete Pisco.
  • Origin Denomination Pisco.
  • Distilled in Alembic.
  • Certified to traceability and good manufacturing practices.

Tasting notes
  • Nose: a few minutes after moving the Pisco in the glass, expresses aromas of apple, banana, peach, tangerine and a hint of eucalyptus.
  • Taste: sweet and kind. Lucuma flavors, peach, tangerine and white chocolate. It has a medium persistence.
  • Related Ingredients: chocolate, almonds, whipped cream, cinnamon.

Recommendations in mixology
: the Acholado is one of the most complete cocktails, it mixes body and aroma at the same time, is a very versatile Pisco but you have to be careful because as it has Torontel is a Pisco that maximizes the sweetness, the Muscat will give a nutty flavor that will be amazing and the Quebranta will give the body needed to be a good cocktail. It is recommended to  soft or fruity cocktails. As a Shot is also recommended with additional ingredients. Example: Pisco + Coffee + Sugar + Lemon, Cocktail Algarrobina, Passion fruit Sour.

For its exquisite blend of flavors and impressive body has obtained:

  • 3 Gold Medals
  • 1 Silver Medal
