The Sting adds a new concept in the London Dry Gin rage: batch distillation, also called "Small Batch". Batch distillation is not to mix the various distillations that are obtained in succession. In the case of The Sting, it’s distilled 5 times and if the distillation meets quality requirements, then proceeds to bottling. If it doesn’t meet the requirements the distillate is discarded and the procedure starts again from the beginning. This process is laborious but worth it because the resulting product is high quality.
Observations
After quintuple distillation of the 10 botanicals of The Sting, the Master distiller is the only one capable of deciding the future of the distillate. He makes various organoleptic tastings and in-depth analysis. If the result is optimum, the gin is bottled.
