History

Following a 'tonic tasting' in 2000 to find the best on the US market, Charles Rolls joined forces with Tim Warrillow to analyse the composition of mixers. The pair discovered that the majority of mixers were preserved with sodium benzoate or similar substances, while the use of cheap orange aromatics such as decanal and, artificial sweeteners (such as saccharin) was widespread – a combination that was affecting the tasting experience and driving customers away from the sector. So, in 2004, they began creating mixers using natural and fresh ingredients.

Description

By brewing a blend of three gingers from Nigeria, Cochin and the Ivory Coast we have created an award winning ginger beer has been highly acclaimed by gastronomes and critics alike. Perfect in a Dark & Stormy, Moscow Mule or simply as a soft drink on its' own.

Tasting notes

Colour: cloudy with natural ginger sediment. Should be inverted before opening to allow the sediment to go back into solution.
Aroma: instant smell of fresh, natural ginger.
Flavour: a distinct, fresh ginger taste predominates. It is refreshing and clean tasting without being overly sweet. As the liquid passes through the palate the ginger will fill the whole mouth leaving a warmth at the back of the throat.
