  • Curiously small stills: the copper stills of The Macallan, the smallest in Scotland, allowing a uniform distribution of heat, thus achieving a more uniform and rich distillation.
  • The court more accurate: the "cut" is the amount of distillate collected in the stills as "spirit of new creation" that will pass to mature in oak barrels. The Macallan selected only 16% of the total, the best of the best.
  • The exceptional oak casks: made with traditional processes from the best Spanish and American oak, which have previously hosted oloroso sherry or bourbon. This persistent obsession in the selection of the most exceptional oak casks get the extraordinary variety of character, aroma and flavor so evident in the full range of The Macallan.
  • Natural color: each barrel influences the "spirit of new creation" in a slightly different varieties to create dynamic light in color, aroma and flavor of whiskey. The resulting color after maturing in barrels is all natural.
