Family:Rum
Brand:Flor de Caña

History

Flor de Caña rum, the pride of Nicaragua, was first produced in the San Antonio sugar mill in Chichigalpa, in 1890.

Description

Flor de Caña acquires its nuances through aging in American oak barrels. Unlike other rums, this aging is accurately reflected in the labels of Flor de Caña: the 12 and 18 years are real and not an aging denomination range. In fact, many industry experts refer to this rum as the "single malt" of rums.

Tasting notes
  • Bright amber color with a nutty flavor, caramel, intense vanilla and exotic spices.
  • Velvety smooth finish after a great complexity of flavors.
  • Serve alone, with ice or with the heat from the hand itself. It essential with the best company.

Observations
  • It has received numerous awards highlighting the International Wine & Spirits Competition 2007 with the gold medal, and the distinction as the best in its class. The same award it was obtained back in 2005.
  • Alcohol content: 40%
