Family:Rum
Brand:Flor de Caña

History

Flor de Caña rum, the pride of Nicaragua, was first produced in the San Antonio sugar mill in Chichigalpa, in 1890.

Description

Flor de Caña acquires its nuances through aging in American oak barrels. Unlike other rums, this aging is accurately reflected in the labels of Flor de Caña: the 12 and 18 years are real and not an aging denomination range. In fact, many industry experts refer to this rum as the "single malt" of rums.

Tasting notes
  • Toasted amber, full-bodied and smooth as silk.
  • Enjoyed in traditional cocktails, or mixed with cola, this rum is a superb choice.

Observations
  • Type: traditional rum aged for four years.
  • Alcohol content: 40%
