Madrid, July 2013 - The Cantabrian cook Óscar Calleja keeps achieving successes in his restaurant Annua, in San Vicente de la Barquera. With a contemporary and global fusion cuisine, in whiche the ingenuity and the freshness are perceived in each dish, he has obtained to conquer renowned gastronomic journalists like Rosa como Rosa Rivas (El País), Carlos Maribona (ABC) and Xavier Agulló (El Mundo), members of the Arco Atlántico Awards jury, awarded last night in the context of the Festival celebration.

With this iniciative, promoted by Gijón council, Arco Atlántico Festival aims to promote the development of the culture and the commercial sector, and stablish an exchange platform between the Arco Atlántico towns that includes Euskadi, Asturias, Cantabria and Galicia and countries like Ireland, United Kingdom, France and Portugal.

After the awards presentation, Ócar Calleja took part in a show-cooking in the Plaza Mayor of Gijón in which the assistants could enjoy of a gastronomic show. Beside him were also the awarded chefs: the Portuguese Ricardo Costa (The Yeatman, Oporto) and the Galician Pepe Solla (Casa Solla, Poio).
